Dear partner in reaching the world for Christ,

The Rapid Deployment Kits that people like you help provide are making a tremendous difference in the lives of our troops. A military chaplain serving in Kuwait recently sent this note:

"Thank you very much for all of the [spiritual] care packages you have been sending. The sailors, soldiers, Marines, and airmen at the Wounded Warrior Barracks have received them as they are recovering from the operations they have had at our base hospital. Most of these service members will be returning to their units when their recovering is complete. They will never forget how you helped them during one of the worst times in their lives."

These wounded service members will never forget how people like you helped them in this extremely difficult time.

The pocket-sized New Testament, daily devotional, and evangelistic booklet in each Rapid Deployment Kit make a difference daily. Reports from the frontlines share how soldiers are carrying RDKs with them into battle. For many, these Kits have become an essential part of their gear-a spiritual resource they can turn to at anytime, especially as they face dark and difficult circumstances.

The number of requests for RDKs has been particularly high over the past several months-an average of more than 20,000 per month. As doors open to reach more troops for Christ, there is an increased need for spiritual resources. We just received this email from another chaplain: "Could I please get [some materials] to assist me in reaching out to the troops with the Word and with God's salvation? We have been accepted by the airport commission and management to open a 'Welcoming Center' and minister to the troops that are in transit at our airport. The airport has set aside a 'Quiet Room' for us and we are waiting for the room to be constructed and officially opened. Thank you for all you do."

Doors are wide open to reach troops around the world, from the bases where they receive training, to the airports they fly through on deployment to the battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, in order to take advantage of all of these opportunities, more funds are needed. Would you be willing to reach out to equip our troops with spiritual resources?

Including shipping and distribution costs, each Kit-small enough to be carried in a soldier's pocket and packaged in a waterproof bag-still costs just $3.25.

So your gift of $52 would provide 16 RDKs; $130 would help provide 40 RDKs. A greater gift of $650 (200 RDKs) or even $1,300 (400 RDKs) would help reach even more troops for Christ. Any amount that you could give would do so much to share God's Word with soldiers who are looking for real comfort and hope.
